Preparation Method:
There are two common routes for the synthesis of
3-chloro [1,1 '-biphenyl]-2-ol. One is to react phenyl lithium with 2-chlorophenyl ketone to obtain hydrogenated sodium chloride salt, which is then chlorinated to obtain the target compound. The other is 2-chlorophenyl phenol as the starting material, under alkaline conditions and thionyl chloride reaction to produce 3-chloro [1,1 '-biphenyl]-2-ol.
